Lee Harmon President
Lee Harmon is hailed as the man who brought the wind of change into the Cook Islands Football Association when he was voted in President in 1997, as a 29-year-old, and has held the position since. A man of vision, intelligence and management acumen, Harmon introduced Women’s Football in 1999 followed by Junior and Youth Football.
The Cook Islands Football Association Headquarters and Academy together with two playing fields and a grandstand for international matches were accomplished during Harmon’s tenure as President of the organization.
Harmon is one of Oceania Football Confederation’s long serving Executive Committee Member and has served on several FIFA Standing Committees. He is currently a member of the FIFA Under 20 World Youth Organizing Committee. A former public servant, he was voted into the local government for his electorate from 1998 to 2008.
Harmon was also a recipient of the Sports Administrator Award in 1998 and the IOC Personality Award in 2001 in his country, organised by the Cook Islands Sports & National Olympic Committee. In recognition of his dedication to Football he was honoured by FIFA with the FIFA Order of Merit at the Inauguration ceremony of CIFA’s Grandstand and changing room facilities held in July, 2009.
He was an active athlete taking part in several sports in his younger days until being involved in a serious motor vehicle accident at the tender age of 18 and this prevented him from sports. However, he switched to being a football administrator only four years later and has been since.
Jake Numanga Vice President

Numanga played football since the late 70s for Titikaveka, Air Rarotonga, Takuvaine and currently plays for Matavera and is President of the Matavera Football Club. He has been CIFA Treasurer since 2002.
Numanga works for Cook Islands Tourism as Research and Development Personnel.
Jonah Tisam Treasurer
Tisam is employed as a Chief Executive Officer at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition. He has worked in Government in a number of ministries and agencies, including were Special Projects of the Office of the Prime Minister, Customs, Tax Office, Justice and Lands, Education and Culture. The highlight of his public service was when he was appointed Collector of Inland Revenue in 1994 and as the Public Service Commissioner from September 2000 to March 2002.
Tisam enjoys all sports when displayed at the highest performance level but is passionate with football, his childhood sport. He has been associated with the Cook Islands football in general since he arrived in 1993 and has been an Executive since 1998.
John Paul Wilson Executive Board Member
Wilson has held considerable positions in the club level. He was manager for Tupapa/Maraerenga Senior Women’s Team 2002 to 2007; coach for Tupapa/Maraerenga Senior Women’s Team 2004 to 2007; manager for Tupapa/Maraerenga Senior A Men’s Team 2007 to 2008 and was club president for Tupapa/Maraerenga 2005 to 2007. He has been a CIFA Referee since 2000 and has been a CIFA executive member since 2006.
Wilson is employed by Westpac Banking Corporation as its Personal Relationship Manager.
Moeroa Tamangaro Executive Board Member
Moeroa is the first woman to be elected onto the Cook Islands Football Association's Executive as a Board Member. She is currently the President for Titikaveka Football Club and has been for a number of years.
Sanjay Chand Executive Board Member
Sanjay Prakash Chand originally from Fiji has been involved in football his whole life playing in BA, Fiji a town well known and passionate about football. He has played for the Ba district in his early age for a short time, as education was on the top of his parents lists but stiil at heart for Sanjay. He has been involved and playing behind the scenes for putting together the Arorangi Premier team in the last couple of years.
He is employed at the Muri Beach Club Hotel as the Finance and Assistant Manager.
Dennis Tararo Executive Board Member
Dennis has been passionate about football for a number of years in 1992 he was introduced into the CIFA world as a Level 1 Coach/Referee. From there he re-introduced football on Mauke and moving into forming the Mauke Football Association in 1993/1994. That same year Mauke Football Association was registered and affiliated with Cook Islands Football Association.
In 2001 he was elected as President for the Mauke Football Association and holds that position till today.
Tangi Tereapii Executive Board Member
Tangi has been around the scene for football in the village of Takuvaine for a number of years as a coach and manager for various teams in Takuvaine FC. He is currently the President for Takuvaine Football Club. Tangi has been an Executive Member for Cook Islands Football Association since coming in 2003. He has attended OFC/FIFA congress since becoming on the CIFA Executive Committee as a Board Member.
He is currently working at the Energy Division of the Ministry of Transport as a Renewable Energy Adviser.
