Football is a third of the way through and round six gets underway today. The U7 mixed, U9 mixed and U11 mixed teams will kick off their ever-exciting football action at 4:15pm today with Nikao Sokattak playing Avatiu, Puaikura taking on Matavera-Ngatangiia and Tupapa Maraerenga going up against Titikaveka.
Later at 4:45pm, the U17 Men will kick off with Nikao Sokattak playing Avatiu on Field 1,Puaikura playing Matavera-Ngatangiia on Field 2 and Tupapa Maraerenga playing Titikaveka at the Matavera school grounds.
Puaikura who currently lead the U17 men’s points table will be going up against what look to be a reformed Matavera side. The match up will be an interesting game to watch, especially after Matavera defeated Nikao Sokattak before the break and Avatiu in round 5. The side also gave the Tupapa U17 men a good run for their money when they played their catch-up match last Monday.
