CIFA Beach Soccer Day 2
Last Saturday the launch of the CIFA Beach Soccer Competition kicked off to an epic start. Leading in the men’s competition we have the PFC Guyz that managed to defeat Nikao Sokattak with 5 points to 1 giving them a good lead on the points table. Coming in full steam ahead is the Matavera FC Men’s team who managed to defeat the PFC Guyz counterpart’s the young and energetic PFC Boyz. The PFC Boyz played very well despite it being their first time on the sand pitch and managed to hold their own against the experienced Matavera side. Finally the Wantok’s team took on the previous winners of the Beach Soccer Comp in January the Black Wolves taking the victory by 3 points to 1.
The first few women’s games saw the 3 winning team’s from the Cook Island Beach Games steal the spotlight by taking down their opponents to secure themselves the top spots in the women’s division. The PFC Maidenz lead the table followed by infamous Vibers team that managed to defeat first timers in the competition the Titikaveka Blue Blazes. Ladies in Black have secured the 3rd spot and are looking to get back to the top of the leaderboard against their rivals PFC Maidenz. Can the Ladies in Black do it again?
