Avatiu’s senior women will go up against some tough competition as they go head to head with Titikaveka today at 5pm. Avatiu’s Piri Murare commanded a strong defense against Nikao in their first game and will need to do it again in today’s match to give her side a good chance at winning. Titikaveka’s Maeva Carr and Paulina Ponga have played key roles in the first few games of the round, providing many scoring opportunities and scoring a few goals themselves. Today they will need to continue to do such in their match today to give their team the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Avatiu’s premier men will be looking to come out with a win tomorrow over Titikaveka after falling to Nikao in their only game so far. Titikaveka, however, will not back down following their performances against the top two teams from last year, bagging a win and a draw and will give Avatiu a good run for their money.
