The Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) is proud to announce that three of our talented Goalkeeper Coaches will be attending the prestigious OFC C License Course in Fiji next month, beginning on September 23rd. This exciting opportunity marks another important step in strengthening football development in the Cook Islands, particularly in the specialized field of goalkeeper coaching.
Representing the nation at the course will be Courtney Napa from Nikao-Sokattak FC, Ioane Moore from Titikaveka FC, and Rianna Pepe from Tupapa-Maraerenga FC. All three have played an instrumental role within their respective clubs while also contributing significantly to our National Teams over the past 12 months. Their involvement at both domestic and international levels highlights their commitment, passion, and drive to help raise the standard of goalkeeping in the Cook Islands.
The OFC C License Course is designed to equip coaches with advanced knowledge, modern techniques, and professional strategies specifically tailored for goalkeepers. By completing the course, Napa, Moore, and Pepe will be better positioned to nurture young talents, develop future national team keepers, and bring back fresh insights to share with their clubs and communities.
CIFA President and staff have extended their congratulations, acknowledging that investing in goalkeeper coaching is vital for the long-term growth of football in the country. Goalkeepers are often described as the backbone of any team, and developing specialist coaches ensures players are prepared for success at every level of the game.
This achievement also demonstrates the continued pathways available for Cook Islands coaches to grow, learn, and compete on a regional stage alongside peers from across Oceania.
CIFA wishes Courtney Napa, Ioane Moore, and Rianna Pepe all the very best in Fiji and looks forward to seeing them return with enhanced knowledge, new skills, and valuable experiences that will inspire the next generation of Cook Islands goalkeepers.
