The Cook Islands is proud to host the OFC U16 Women’s Championship League – Qualifiers, with the national U16 women’s team poised to make their tournament debut this Saturday at 3:00 PM against Papua New Guinea at the CIFA Complex, Matavera.
After months of preparation, the team is ready to represent the Cook Islands with passion and determination. This tournament marks a significant opportunity for the rising stars of women’s football in the region to showcase their talent on an international stage, and to do so in front of a home crowd makes the occasion even more special.
Match day two will see Papua New Guinea face American Samoa on Monday at 3:00 PM, followed by the final fixture on Wednesday at 3:00 PM, when the Cook Islands will meet American Samoa at the CIFA Complex.
This qualifier not only highlights the development of women’s football across Oceania but also underscores the Cook Islands Football Association’s commitment to nurturing youth talent and promoting the women’s game.
We encourage the community to show their support by attending the matches and celebrating the achievements of all participating teams. General admission is $3 — an affordable opportunity to witness top-tier youth football and back our national team.
Let’s stand behind our players as they take this important step in their football journey.
