The blue skies greeted the many youth football players and faithful’s to an exciting and talent-filled day of football. The much-awaited 2021 Kia Orana Youth Football Festival finally got underway at CIFA complex, Takitumu Field and Titikaveka field on Saturday.
All three fields were flooded with players and supports ready to take on day one of the tournament. Spectators were edging off their seats as each young athlete portrayed their talents on the football field, contesting for goals and following through with each play.
Our outer island team showed strength during all games, and our Rarotonga teams came out with the same spirit to represent their club and island.
For sure all teams contesting in day twos fiesta will bring their A-game and ensure a 3-point is added to their tally to guarantee a top two spot in their pool and taking them closer to silverware for the 2021 Kia Orana Youth Football Festival.
