The Matavera-Ngatangiia Senior women are set to play Tupapa Maraerenga today at the CIFA complex at 5pm. Matavera are still hunting their first win of the season and will be hoping to come away with a result in their match today. The side will be aiming to score a few goals but will likely prioritize their defending while going up again the division leaders Tupapa.
Tupapa’s recent down form would suggest that Matavera have a heightened chance of picking up their first victory of the season but knowing Tupapa’s capabilities, they can pick up form at any point. Tupapa will look to control the game and score at any given opportunity and will aim for a win today.
The Matavera-Ngatangiia premier men will be going up against Tupapa Maraerenga tomorrow in what is looking to be an exciting match-up.
Tupapa is in great form and will be a tough team to beat but after a surprise upset last week in Puaikura, Matavera might have gained a big enough boost to pull off another upset this week.
Matavera will have to use their speed up in the front to their advantage and they will also need to play smart to overcome the football giants. Matavera’s senior players like Paul Van-Eijk and Chris Whitaker will need to control the game for their side and guide their younger players against the seasoned Tupapa men to increase their chances of a win.
Meanwhile Tupapa’s defender’s Anthony Samuela, Dave Milanovic, Peni Kitiona and Willynn Hagai will need to communicate well on the field and play their cards right to thwart any Matavera attack that comes their way while team mates and brothers Mii and Sunai Joseph will have to be clinical up the front in hopes of giving their side another win.
