After 3 days of intense football games and a much-needed rest day, teams have come back with polished skills and new game plans, hungry for a spot in the finals on Saturday.
Pushing themselves beyond limits, jumping higher and running faster in every game, it is assured that all teams have deserved their place in the semi-final games today at CIFA Complex, with the U15 playing on Field 2 and the U18 playing on Field 1.
Kicking their way through to a secured spot in the semi-final match today, the U15 Avatiu Boys have followed through with all games coming out undefeated in their Pool. Stepping onto the field in hopes they’ll keep their winning streak intact when battling against Aitutakis U15 Boys, who have operated every part of their unpredictable yellow machine providing them a spot in today’s game.
In our U15 Girls Pool B the outstanding footballers from Akatokamanava have climbed their way up to the semi-finals, winning all games but drawing against Vaka Takitumu on Monday. Coming out tomorrow to take on the girls of Akatokomanava will be the girls from Auau Enua who have broken through defensive lines, locking in a place to fight for finals.
Our other two matches for today in the U15 division, the Mitiaro Mighty Arrow Maidens will take on the girls from the west Puaikura, and the boys from Akatokamanava will battle it out with Enuamanu.
In the U18 division both from Pool A, the Mens from Nikao Sokattak and the Womens from Puaikura brought to this tournament a young team with experience, who have shown form in every challenging game they have come across, both unconquered and winning a spot in the semi-finals. These teams will be going up against the U18 Men and Women from Tupapa Maraerenga, two Tupapa teams that are not so easy to get around so today’s game are sure to be challenging for the Rarotonga based teams.
Also battling it out on the field today in the U18 division will be the Men and Women of Araura Enua, taking on the maidens and warriors of Auau Enua.
A critical day for all our youth teams, a day that will help finalize their spot in the finals. Do you really want to miss the games that’ll set up the chance to bring home the trophy? Come on down to the CIFA Complex, wearing your colours to support your teams.
