NIKAO’S LAST CHANCE TO REDEEM THEMSELVES

The fifteenth and final round of the 2019 round cup competition is underway and we now look to the matchup between the top two teams in the premier men’s division, Nikao Sokattak and Tupapa Maraerenga.

The two teams have been at the top of the division since the fifth round and have battled each other for supremacy of the division which now see’s Tupapa on top by 4 points. Today the two teams will play each other one last time in the round cup championship before heading directly to the semi-finals of the CIFA Knockout Cup.

Nikao have fallen at the hands of Tupapa twice this season and will likely now aim to redeem themselves and give this final round match everything they’ve got to show the table leaders what they are made of. The match between the two sides today is also likely be about achieving results to go into the knock-outs with a significant confidence boost and to potentially go forth and win the cup.

Playing just before the premier men at 2:30pm will be the Nikao Sokattak and Tupapa Maraerenga senior women. Tupapa has secured the number one spot on the ladder this season while Nikao sit in fifth. Nikao have not had the best season to date though a win against the top side in the division will give them a significant boost heading into the knock-out rounds and will certainly be a redeeming moment for the side.
