The Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) is proud to announce an exciting role change within its development team, as two of our own step into new leadership positions to further strengthen the growth of football and futsal across the country.
Teretia Teinaki has officially taken up the position of Women’s Football Development Officer, a role recently vacated and one that holds great importance in the continued advancement of the women’s game in the Cook Islands. Teretia has been a committed advocate for football at all levels, and her passion for empowering young girls and women through the sport will be key in building stronger pathways and opportunities for female players, coaches, and referees.
Stepping into another vital role, Penina Katuke will now lead as Futsal Development Officer. With futsal quickly gaining popularity in the Cook Islands, Penina’s appointment comes at an exciting time. Her dedication, knowledge, and enthusiasm will ensure that the game continues to grow at grassroots level and beyond, opening more doors for young players to develop their skills in the fast-paced format.
CIFA congratulates Teretia and Penina on their new appointments and looks forward to the fresh ideas, energy, and expertise they will bring to their respective areas. Their leadership reflects CIFA’s commitment to nurturing local talent not only on the field but also in administration and development, ensuring the future of Cook Islands football continues to thrive.
Congratulations ladies—we look forward to seeing the positive impact your work will bring!
