The Nikao field is in for a nail-biting midweek matchup between hosts Nikao Sokattak and Puaikura today and Tomorrow.
Puaikura who fell to Tupapa last week in the men’s division is up for yet another big match this week going up against another top of the table team. Puaikura gave Tupapa a good run for their money last week and will need to play similarly or better to have a chance at putting Nikao away. Puaikura will no doubt be gunning for a win to finish in the top three.
Nikao on the other hand are a side to be reckoned with and won’t be easily defeated. Nikao is looking hungrier than ever to win the round cup especially after a smashing win last week against Matavera. Nikao will be coming out to win this game to keep atop the table and keep their chances as high as possible of winning the round cup championship for the first time in nearly a decade.
This match will be played tomorrow at 5pm.
In the senior women’s division to be played today at 5pm, Nikao Sokattak will have a challenging match when they play Puaikura. The Nikao senior women’s season has not been the best to date, but after a much better performance by the team in their last match against Matavera, Nikao could be making their way up the ladder. Though, after an outstanding win for Puaikura last week against the division leaders Tupapa, their task will not be easy.
Puaikura will have gained a huge boost after their victory against Tupapa last week and will be a tough team to beat. The side have kept a close eye on the top of the ladder recently and are eager to take it from Tupapa thus they will not give up a win so easily.
