U17 men’s competition kicks off their seventh-round fixture at 4:45pm today at the CIFA complex in Matavera.
Today Puaikura will play against Avatiu and Matavera-Ngatangiia will play Tupapa Maraerenga while Nikao Sokattak are on a bye. Puaikura fell to second place on the points table on Monday after they lost to Nikao Sokattak and will be aiming to come away with a win against Avatiu to stay as close as they can to the top of the ladder.
Tupapa who were second before Puaikura’s loss climbed to the top of the ladder and will be eager to put Matavera-Ngatangiia away today to remain atop the table. Matavera on the other hand will be seeking redemption after falling to Tupapa in their first match against each other and will be looking for results to make a climb on the points table and deny Tupapa another three points.
