Sokattak and Tupapa Draw

The draw meant the two teams share one point.
Sokattak scored first through Teariki Mateariki mid way through the first half after a defensive error from the Tupapa defenders.
In the first half both teams were evenly matched in most facets of play. With five minutes of play remaining in the first half Tupapa was gifted with an own goal to level the score at one all.
During the second half Nikao Sokattak dominated ball possession due to poor play by their opposition. In the sixty first minute Sokattak’s danger man Tuka Tisam latched onto a loose ball and slammed it pass the Tupapa’s goal keeper for their second goal to bring the score to two goals to one.
With victory so close for the host team with two minutes to play Tupapa was awarded a free kick just outside the eighteen yard box. The free kick was well taken by Grover Harmon who leveled the score at two all.
In the other Premier Men’s match Arorangi defeated Matavera by one goal to nil while Titikaveka put their first three points on the board by defeating Takuvaine in a close match by three goals to two.
In the CIPS Image & Copy Centre women’s main match Tupapa Maraerenga defeated Nikao Sokattak by two goals to nil.
