National Football Championship ready to kick off

Teams from the Outer Islands of Aitutaki, Atiu, Mangaia, Mauke and Mitiaro will start arriving today for the one week tournament. They will be joined by the three Vakas on Rarotonga where the teams will be divided into two pools for the competition.
Under 16 Girls, Pool A consist of Aitutaki, Mangaia and Takitumu while Pool B is made up of Atiu, Mitiaro and Te Au O Tonga.
Under 15 Boys, Pool A involves Aitutaki, Mangaia, Takitumu and Mauke while Pool B is made up of Atiu, Mitiaro, Te Au O Tonga and Mauke.
The teams will play each other once in their respective pools with the top two teams advancing through to the semi finals with the two winners to play off in the finals on Saturday 23 April 2011.

2.00pm Under 16 Girls Aitutaki vs. Mangaia
Takitumu Bye
3.10pm Under 15 Boys Aitutaki vs. Mangaia
4.20pm Under 15 Boys Takitumu vs. Mauke
Field 2
2.00pm Under 16 Girls Atiu vs. Mitiaro
Te Au O Tonga Bye
3.10pm Under 15 Boys Atiu vs. Mitiaro
4.20pm Under 15 Boys Te Au O Tonga vs. Puaikura
