Charity Shield Kicks Of Football Season

Between the 2014 Premier Men’s Round Cup Champions Tupapa Maraerenga and 2014 Premier Men’s Knockout Champions Takuvaine on Wednesday 19th August 2015 at 5:30pm at the CIFA Complex in Matavera.
On paper Tupapa Maraerenga possess more skilful players than their opponents, however Takuvaine who defeated the 2014 Round Cup Champions Tupapa Maraerenga in a penalty shootout in the 2014 knockout finals will try their best to make things difficult for Tupapa and to taste victory again. Takuvaine’s physical play in last year’s cup final rewarded them with the win.
All in all this match is predicted to be an exciting opener to the 2015 Rarotonga football season with all the components of entertaining football to be displayed
Prior to the main match there will be curtain raiser matches in the Under 8 Mix division at 4:30pm followed by the Under 11 Mix division at 5:00pm.
There will be a gate taking of $2 for all, including players and officials, with all proceeds to be donated to a charitable organisation.
The season will kick off proper on Wednesday 26 August 2015 with the Under 8 Mix and Under 11 Mix divisions at 4:15pm, followed by the Under 17 Men’s division. All matches will be played at the CIFA Complex and the Takitumu School Grounds.
