Tupapa defeats Arorangi despite solid defence

Although Tupapa dominated possession for most of the first half they could not convert this into goals as the Arorangi defense was solid with Jack Sheik calling the shots at the back.
However, early in the second half Tupapa Maraerenga managed to break the deadlock and scored their first goal through Apii Angene.
Throughout the match the under dogs Arorangi managed to create two golden goal scoring opportunities however, these two opportunities missed the target. Tupapa went and scored two more goals through Campbell Best and Paavo Mustonen. The final score in this match was three goals to nil in favour of Tupapa.
In the CIPS Image & Copy Centre women’s main match which had all the ingredients of a cup final the two teams were evenly matched in most facets of play. Arorangi was the first to score early in the second half through youngster Mere Taio.
Tupapa Maraerenga who had the upper hand in terms of ball possession was rewarded with a free kick just outside the eighteen yard box this was neatly put away into the back of the net by Elizabeth Harmon for the equalizer.
As the game went on the two teams tried to create goal scoring opportunities, but they ran out of ideas and the final whistle sounded with a full time score of a one all draw.
