Just Play Course Next Week

The social development grassroots programme funded by Ausaid, Oceania Football Confederation and UEFA targets 6-13yr old boys and girls and now has 12 schools and 3 community groups on Rarotonga preparing to take part in the pilot phase with 25 teachers and group leaders registered to attend the course next week.
The course will be run by our Just Play Instructors Jimmy Katoa and Michelle Paiti and will be assisted by Oceania Football Representative Emmie Sope.
All equipment and resources for the programme are scheduled to arrive within the week and will be distributed to all participating schools and community groups following the Launch of Just Play on Wednesday 16th March.
The pilot phase will run for 6 weeks during which time the Just Play team will visit the schools and communities to offer support and assistance to the facilitators. Fun festivals will also be organised for the children towards the end of the pilot phase.
During the pilot phase they will monitor the participation of children, teachers and volunteers to help evaluate the programme so recommendations and adaption’s can be made to help assist with the implementation of phase two in order to maintain a sustainable Just Play Programme in the Cook Islands.
