Arorangi take on Tupapa in semis

This match is scheduled to kick off today at 4.00pm.
Clashes between these two sides have somewhat produced feisty encounters and with so much riding on the outcome in today’s meeting, it is sure to be an all-action affair. That was certainly the case during the round cup competition when the sides fought out one of the tournament’s most entertaining matches ending in a one all draw.
With Captain Mii Joseph directing his defence for a favourable outcome for his side, his mid field and forward players will need to capitalize on any opportunities which may arise. With speedy striker Campbell Best injured in their last encounter it will be interesting to see if his replacement will be just as lethal.
For Arorangi, they will need to play above their weight to have any chance of toppling the 2012 Champions from progressing to the knock-out finals next week. All in all this should be an exciting encounter with the winner meeting the winner of yesterday’s match between Nikao Sokattak and Takuvaine.
The senior women’s battle between the same two clubs, the tenacious girls from Arorangi and Tupapa Maraerenga will be scheduled to kick off at 2.30pm. Both times these two sides met in the round cup competition the result was a two all and one all draw.
This clash promises to be an entertaining affair as both sides play an attacking brand of football and will be full of confidence after posting some impressive results in the CIPS & Image Copy Centre women’s round cup competition.
Saturday’s semi final matches will kick start at 1.00pm with the under 14 girls division between Tupapa Maraerenga and Avatiu.
Following the under 14 girls match at 1.45pm the under 14 boys will take to the pitch between the unbeaten Nikao Sokattak and Tupapa Maraerenga. The illustrious lads from Nikao have proven to be the team to beat.
