Harmon re-elected as CIFA President

Delegates from the Rarotonga clubs and outer island associations met to review the progress of football in the country and to elect new office bearers.
President Harmon, who is a member of the OFC Executive Committee, says he is looking forward to another four-year term.
“I believe I still have a lot to offer in terms of the administrative affairs of football in the Cook Islands,” says Harmon, who has served as President for over 10 years.
“I will work with the Executive and board members to ensure the progress of football is maintained.”
Under President Harmon’s tenure, CIFA has relocated its administrative operations to the National Academy in Matavera becoming the hub for football development in the country. The National Academy itself features two international sized pitches, accommodation, education centre and, as of 2009, a multi-purpose tribune with spectator seating.
