Cooks Lose to Samoa

The match was expected to be tight with both sides equally determined to achieve their goal of progressing through to the next stage of the competition.
This was reflective in the score which was locked at nil-all until the dying stages of the game when Samoa converted two goals in quick succession of the last four minutes in front of a vocal crowd at the J.S Blatter Football Complex.
The Cook Islands Football Association would like to congratulate the team and management on their well-fought campaign in Samoa where no doubt some lessons have been learned and memorable experiences were gained.
Team Cook Islands returned home early this morning on flight AIRNZ 748.
