Cook Islands U-15 Girls Set for OFC Youth Development Tournament in Fiji

The Cook Islands National U-15 Girl’s Development Squad has departed for Fiji to compete in the OFC Under-15 Youth Development Tournament 2026, marking an important step in the nation’s ongoing commitment to developing women’s football.

The tournament forms part of a key youth development partnership between UEFA and the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), aimed at providing young footballers with valuable international experience and early exposure to high-level competition. The initiative not only focuses on players, but also supports the growth of referees, coaches, and support staff through structured development opportunities.

Representing Cook Islands is a squad of 15 promising young players, supported by a dedicated team of five officials. The group has been preparing in the lead-up to the tournament and will be looking to make the most of this opportunity to test themselves against regional counterparts.

Participation in this tournament is expected to play a crucial role in building confidence, improving technical ability, and strengthening the overall pathway for women’s football in the Cook Islands. With a strong emphasis on learning and development, the experience in Fiji will provide a solid foundation for these young athletes as they continue their football journeys.

The team now looks ahead with excitement and determination, proud to wear the Cook Islands colours on the regional stage.
