Knockout matches continue in local football

FOUR TEAMS will be in action today in the Cook Islands Football Association knockout competition, which continues at the Takitumu School grounds.  Puaikura, Nikao Sokattak, and Avatiu football clubs will battle it out in the Under-14 girls and premier men’s competitions.

Puaikura will play Nikao Sokattak in the Under 14 girls division at 4pm, while Avatiu is set for their premier men’s showdown against Nikao Sokattak at 5pm. The battle between the two sides in the senior division will determine who goes through to the semifinals.

Avatiu and Nikao Sokattak have both shown their ability in the premier men’s division, by upsetting Takuvaine and Puaikura in their previous encounters.

They are now set for a titanic encounter that promises to provide a fierce contest between the two teams.
