Premier teams to fight for final spot

CIFA Knockout semifinals will continue today with intense football action expected in the main premier men’s clash between Avatiu and Tupapa Maraerenga.

A tough battle lies ahead for both sides who will take the pitch at 5pm at the CIFA Complex in Matavera.

Avatiu, which grabbed the semifinal spot after upsetting Nikao Sokattak in the knockout round, will definitely be the team to look out for in this afternoon’s match.

The side has caused a number of upsets during the season by bringing an element of surprise to its game, and no doubt will come out determined to give Tupapa a good run today.

History favours Tupapa, which has won its matches against the minnows in the recent years.

This match will follow after the Under-14 girls clash between Avatiu and Puaikura.
