The Tahiti National Under 16 Women’s team will arrive on Thursday 29 June to play a number of football matches against the Cook Islands Under 16 Women’s team.
The Tahiti squad will take on the Cook Islands side in their first meet on Saturday 1st July 2017 with the match kicking off at 3.00pm at the CIFA complex in Matavera and is forecasted to be an exciting match for both teams.
“Its an international fixture so obviously we expect a very very touch match,” says CIFA Technical Director, Jess Ibrom.
“The girls have been training and this will enable us to be better prepared and more competitive leading into the world cup qualifiers in Samoa come August,” he says.
The second match will be played on Tuesday 4th July at 4.30pm, again at the CIFA complex in Matavera and all are invited to come watch, cheer and support our youth players who look to feature in future national teams both for Tahiti and Cook Islands.
“We are very appreciative that Tahiti Football Federation supported their U16 National Girls Team coming to the Cook Islands,” say Jess.
Cook Islands Football Association is pleased to host our neighbor from Tahiti and look forward to a continued partnership.
