Williams and Tekeu set for OFC Coach Educators Course in Noumea

Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) is proud to announce that two of our staff members, Susan Williams and Tyson Tekeu, have been selected to attend the OFC Coach Educator Certificate Course in Noumea, New Caledonia next month.

Susan Williams, CIFA’s Grassroots Development Officer, and Tyson Tekeu, CIFA Goalkeeper Coach, will join participants from across the Oceania region as they continue to develop their coaching and education expertise through the Oceania Football Confederation programme.

The OFC Coach Educator Certificate Course is designed to strengthen the delivery of coach education by equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to educate and mentor coaches in a variety of environments.

Throughout the course, participants will learn how to help adults learn in different settings both on and off the field, while also developing their ability to plan, prepare, conduct and review education sessions. The programme will also focus on managing groups of adult learners and understanding a range of teaching, presenting and facilitating strategies in both classroom and practical football environments.

Their selection highlights CIFA’s continued commitment to coach development and building the capacity of football educators within the Cook Islands. Opportunities such as these play an important role in strengthening the local game and ensuring coaches across all levels receive quality education and support.

CIFA congratulates Susan and Tyson on their selection and wishes them all the best as they represent the Cook Islands in Noumea next month.
